QA/QC Inspector

Location:  Geismar, LA 

Start Date: Immediately

Duration:  Fulltime nested position
Project schedule:  4/10’s with some overtime 

Pay Rate/Compensation: DOE, full-time Benefited Position 
* Local candidates preferred, no per diem available

Summary Statement

Leading pay available for the right QA/QC inspector, preferably with at least 5 to 7 years’ experience in following new construction and piping installation. API or CWI certification will be required. This inspector should possess knowledge in the following disciplines: UT, VT, MT, RT, and PT. Additional experience as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with the ability to read P&ID’s and isometric drawings is also required. Must be technically competent and knowledgeable in the current ASTM, ASME and API Codes & Standards; proficiency in technical report writing and the use of Microsoft Office applications. Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

​

• Interfacing with client to assure schedule and goals are met in a timely manner.

• Perform QA/QC inspections during capital project and maintenance activities.

• Review and develop repairs plans on pressure vessels and process piping.

• Review NDE data packages, PQRs, WPSs for welder qualifications.

• Approve hydrostatic testing of piping for new construction and alterations on process piping.

• Update and maintain inspection documentation.
