Sentinel has implemented the apprenticeship and mentoring program to adequately train and certify our
growing staff of inspection professionals, while assisting our already certified

API 653 Inspector Summary
-
Perform Internal and External visual inspections per API 653.
-
Perform calculations of remaining life on all tank components and set inspection intervals.

Safe fill versus specific gravity, hydrostatic fill, foundation settlement, and verticality.

Provide full detailed report of the Internal and External inspection findings as well as NDE, AdvancedNDE, 3D Laser Scanning and Settlement Survey.

Provide repair recommendations with Inspection Test Plans(ITP).

Follow repairs to assure compliance.

Coordinate all efforts with Sentinel divisions for call-out support. This includes working with LII NDEtechnicians and Advanced NDE technicians.

Traveling is required 75% of the time thru-out the United States.

Assist in all aspects of execution and operations within the Tank Group.

Assist with quoting and reviewing the Step-out, Inspection Test Plan and/or scope of work.

Mentor and steward call-out employees on projects to ensure we meet or exceed Sentinel expectations.

Proficiency in technical report writing with editing digital photographs for use in repair recommendations, MS
Word, SAP, and create Inspection Test Plans. Coordinate efforts with Sentinel direct report on call-out support for
all services, planning turnarounds and work with staff reporting to the site.
Initiative-taking with good written and verbal communication skills with a positive collaborative attitude is required.
Proficiency in technical report writing with editing digital photographs in MS Word. Coordinate efforts with the
API 653 Inspector on the job.
