Sentinel Integrity offers a wide array of advanced NDT applications for turnaround and on-stream inspection activities. Services include advanced ultrasonic testing, heat exchanger tubing inspections, eddy current array testing, real time radiography, and magnetic flux leakage tank bottom inspections.

Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT)

Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) is a fully automated technique that utilizes a multi-channel ultrasonic imaging system and encoded robotic scanners to perform a UT examination on a piece of equipment. AUT is used in a number of industries and can be an effective method for inspecting a number of different types of equipment. READ MORE >

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) is an advanced NDT method that is often used for weld inspection and crack detection. It can also be used to effectively profile remaining wall thickness in corrosion survey applications. READ MORE >

Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) is an advanced method of ultrasonic testing. This technique is a sensitive and accurate method for the nondestructive testing of welds or defects. READ MORE >

Eddy Current Array

Eddy Current Array (ECA) is a form of nondestructive eddy current testing that involves electronically driving eddy current coils placed next to each other in a probe assembly. Each coil in the probe produces a signal, the strength of which depends on the phase and amplitude of the object the probe is placed over. The coils are excited in a specific sequence to eliminate interference from mutual inductance (channel multiplexing). Arrays can be made flexible or shaped to any geometry, and software provides graphical displays (2D and 3D C-scans). READ MORE >

Magnetic Flux Leakage

Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) is a nondestructive testing technique that is uses electromagnetism to search for flaws or damage in ferromagnetic materials. Sentinel Integrity Solutions uses MFL to inspect the floors of tanks for flaws and damage. READ MORE >

Tubing Inspection

Sentinel Integrity’s Tubing Inspection Service Line maintains a staff of fully qualified and highly trained tubing data analysis and acquisition technicians. They are capable of evaluating and inspecting your heat exchanger tubing assemblies using a variety of modern tubing inspection applications. We utilize highly advanced equipment, data analysis, and reporting software within the industry. READ MORE >

Real Time Radiography

Real Time Radiography (RTR) is a type of non-destructive testing (NDT) that uses radiation such as x-rays or gamma rays to produce digital images of a piece of equipment for later examination. READ MORE >

Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC)

Corrosion under insulation (CUI) is possibly the greatest unresolved asset integrity issue in the industry. Current methods for measuring wall thickness all have severe limitations. Sentinel Integrity Solutions has acquired LyftTM, from Eddyfi — a reinvented, high-performance pulsed eddy current (PEC) solution. The patent-pending system features a portable, state-of-the-art instrument, real-time C-scan imaging, fast data acquisition (up to 15 readings per second) with grid-mapping and dynamic scanning modes.

High Temperature Hydrogen Attack

High-Temperature Hydrogen Attack (HTHA) is a damage mechanism that affects equipment that has been exposed to hydrogen at certain temperatures and pressures. At these temperatures, the hydrogen molecules (H2) dissociate into individual hydrogen atoms. These atoms are small enough that they are able to dissolve into the steel. READ MORE >

Pump Can Inspection

Sentinel Integrity Solutions is proud to have developed a proprietary method of inspecting vertical pump cans in situ (in place) using multiple industry vetted nondestructive testing techniques. Sentinel has uniquely modified and combined existing equipment and applications to accomplish this industry leading method of inspection. Inspections are performed in place with no need to remove the pump can from its operating position. Motorized equipment and manpower needed to remove the pump can are no longer required using our inspection method.  Sentinel’s staff of Advanced Services professionals can rapidly deploy to your facility to support your Pump Can Inspection needs.
